The Suzuki Talent Education Program
STEP is the only comprehensive Suzuki program in Alabama, providing private lessons, group classes, recitals, performance classes, chamber music and string orchestra to students age three and up.
The teachers of STEP are all professional violinists, violists and cellists who are currently performing with ensembles such as the Alabama Symphony and the Montgomery Symphony. They teach the Suzuki method, which is a specific program designed to learn music like a language. The parents, students and teachers are all a part of the teaching and learning process and create a musical bond that helps the students develop as musicians and gain empathy, respect and knowledge as human beings.
